Farid Ahmed will call for a fairer tax system putting £700 back in your pocket.

Farid Ahmed, Walthamstow's Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate, will call in a headline speech for an end to tax avoidance and evasion.

Speaking at the Liberal Democrat spring conference on Saturday 13 March, Farid will say that he is "angry at a few rich people choosing to avoid tax". He will call on conference to approve plans for a fair tax which puts money back in the pockets of people in Walthamstow.

Commenting, Farid said:

"People in Walthamstow are suffering from endless rules, endless regulations and endless red tape. It makes me furious that as people do their level best to make ends meet, rich people are getting away with avoiding paying their fair share.

"This speech gives me the chance to fight for what I believe in - a fair tax system for the people of Walthamstow that will do something real: level the playing field and put £700 back in your pocket

"It's time to end the scandal of the profits of this country slipping away from the people of this country - we need to stamp out tax avoidance and make sure everyone pays their fair share."
